what do the beatles, buddha and the color purple have in common?

beatles...
ever since jordan was a baby i've played music as she slips into slumber at bedtime and naptime. it's either classical, native american flutes, lullabies from around the world...or the beatles (not so much john, paul, ringo or george but rather instrumental music of beatles melodies).

anyway, out of the blue the other day as i was putting in a cd, jordan said "i want to hear the beatles, mama!" it caught me off guard. now ever time she goes down to sleep she demands to listen to the beatles. i could think of worse things...eh?

ever since jordan's exposure to the ER a couple of weeks ago...and
E-I-G-H-T stiches in her tiny rosebud lip...she's been obsessed with boo-boos!

during our nightly ritual of feeding the fish upstairs she pointed to a wooden carved buddha on our shelf and said, "mama, buddha has a boo-boo!" this version of buddha is indian and it has a relief of a dot towards the center of its forehead (buddha's third eye). anyway, it was quite funny when she said it, i couldn't help but laugh!

purple...
jordan is getting better with identifying colors, but sometimes she's a little off. the other day she said, "mama, you have brown eyes...i have purple eyes." i corrected her and said, "well actually honey you have blue eyes." she replied, "no i have pink eyes!"
