lady "j" turns three!!!!!!

dear sweet jordan,
over the last year you've bloomed into an amazing young lady. so much has happened since your 2yr birthday. you started attending a new daycare/pre-school and have thrived learning your abc's, 123's, artistic ability, social decorum, singing, dancing and just being a kid! you potty-trained in a matter of months (thank goodness!) you encountered the emergency room for the first time...and were a real sport getting eight stiches in your lower lip. you attended your first music concert...elmo live in concert! you moved into your own bedroom and started sleeping in your "big girl" bed. you took a boat ride for the first time at your uncle gary and aunt laura's cabin in wisconsin. you enjoyed some pretty scary rides at the amusement park. you started taking a gymnastic class and really love it! you performed in your first music recital at christmas time. you became the best big sister ever to your little sister "toto." and finally at your 3rd birthday party you attempted the bungee ride and couldn't get enough of it!

you are fiesty and stubborn...a chip off the old block. since the arrival of your little sister you've had some issues with discipline - but this too shall pass...i hope!

you are both imaginative and creative and play alone amazingly well. watching you play with your stuffed friends and baby dolls is such a joy...you are so nurturing and thoughtful in all you do. and when it comes to your new little sister i couldn't be more pleased...you truly have embraced her and show great love and tenderness towards her.

i am so proud of you sweet girl and can't wait to see what this next year brings.

margot's many nap poses...

margot's first weeks...

little miss margot was a joyful addition to our family, and a precious gift over the holidays. jordan has been enjoying her new little sister and is most loving towards her. she looks at her with the sweetest face of adornment. while i thought jordan was a fussy baby in her first weeks, she's got nothing over margot. i must say this kid is quite high-maintenance. i hope it's a phase!

early xmas gift...

our bundle of joy arrived 10 days early. miss margot claire was born on december 20th at 4:20pm. she weighed in at 6lbs 12oz and measured 20in long.

she's got a full head of dark hair and big brown eyes. she resembles her older sister, jordan, except her features are much darker.
